Directions to the Building Systems Program
and Larson Laboratory:
Once you are parked:
The Engineering Center is on the corner of Regent Drive and Colorado Avenue.
JCEM is located in the civil engineering (ECCE) wing. (See Engineering
Center map for more details.) To find JCEM from the parking lots,
it is easiest to walk through the new Integrated Teaching and Learning
Laboratory (ITLL), which is the small building on the east side of the
Engineering Center, connected to the civil engineering wing by an enclosed
bridge. Take the stairs to bridge level (formally Level 1) and walk west
into the Engineering Center. Take the first stairs on your left near the
west end of the civil engineering wing. JCEM is at the top of the stairs.
If entering the Engineering Center from campus on the west, enter through
the revolving doors and walk straight ahead. Just before the administrative
offices, turn right and then left down the hallway of the civil engineering
wing. The JCEM stairwell will be on your right.
From the City of Denver:
Take I-25 north to the Boulder Turnpike (Highway 36) and go west to Boulder.
Highway 36 westbound will take you straight into Boulder.
Once in Boulder:
Turn left at the first stoplight, Colorado Avenue. Again, take your first
left on Regent Drive. If you will be parking for all day, it is most convenient
for you to park in University Lot 436, immediately on your left. If you
will be parking for only a few hours, it will be most convenient to park
in the visitor lot south Lot 436, your second left off Regent Drive. (See
map and parking information for more information.)
From Denver International Airport (DIA):
Take Pena Boulevard south approximately 9 miles to I-70 west. Then take
I-270 northwest, which changes into I-76 west. Veer to your right and
then to your left to Hwy. 36 straight into Boulder. (Also, simply follow
the road signs directing you to Boulder; it is very well marked.) See
information above for directions once you get into Boulder.
From Golden:
Take Highway 93 north to Boulder. Highway 93 turns into Broadway Street.
Take Broadway to Regent Drive (approximately the 5th or 6th stoplight)
and turn right. Follow Regent Drive through the campus, past the Coors
Event Center, until you get to the parking lots on your right. See information
above for directions once you get into Boulder.
Campus Parking Information:
University parking is available at many sites throughout the campus. However,
there is NO FREE campus parking. The most convenient all-day parking is
in Lot 436, located on the northeast corner of Colorado Avenue and Regent
Drive. You may purchase daily parking permits for $5.00 per day at Parking
Services located in the basement level of the Regent Autopark (the four-story
parking structure located in Lot 436). Hourly parking at a rate of $0.75
per hour is available at both street meters and designated visitor parking
lots. The most convenient visitor lot for the Engineering Center is located
just south of the Regent Autopark. There is a pay station in the center
of the lot that takes change, bills, and even credit cards.
Off-campus parking exists, but is not always available or convenient
during the school year. Please use discretion when parking off-campus.
Also, many side streets on the perimeter of the campus do not allow for
more than one- or two-hour parking.
