Untangling the invisible connections between hydrology and ecosystem processes Abstract: My research group largely conducts field and modeling research projects in which we seek to quantitatively reveal the underpinnings of hydrologic processes in earth systems and ecosystems. I’ll provide a bit of an overview and some of my background that led me to the current trajectory of my research group, along with some opportunities we are currently pursuing. We will briefly explore three research themes that my research group has and continues to explore – 1) stream-groundwater interactions and their impact on biogeochemical cycling and water quality, 2) Arctic earth and ecosystem response to a warming climate, and 3) coupling of Antarctic hydrologic and ecosystem processes.
