Colorado Springs Water Supply: Past, Present and Future Integrated Planning Under Uncertainty 


Colorado Springs water supply development will be described in the context of western water law in general.  Unique aspects of the system and how those are handled in the operations and yield model will be discussed.  Competing interests, increasing scarcity, changing social values all require the efficient management of our water supply.  Increasingly water resources engineers are facing interdisciplinary challenges in design, operations and maintenance, management and supply.  Colorado Springs' planning is utilizing emerging ideas and techniques to address the future challenges and uncertainties.
