Management: Making the Most of Water Resources Abstract This talk will present two projects that examine how improved management of existing water resources can lead to lower costs and better outcomes. In the first project, interruptible contracts will be analysed using an improved synthetic streamflow generating technique to demonstrate the efficacy and performance of these contracts, even under alternate climate scenarios. In the second project, the simulation of a water market will show how significant drought-induced economic losses in the Bay Area of California may be avoided compared to the current drought allocation plan.
