I taught my first lighting class as a visiting lecturer in 1972 and assumed full-time teaching responsibilities in 1982. After 35 years of a life in higher education, I have retired from teaching and left the University of Colorado. It has been my great privilege to work with gifted and motivated students, and to watch more than 150 of them prosper in the lighting industry.

So, farewell to teaching! May the future be kind to us all.
